What you'll do
- Perform reconnaissance on mature timber stands and identify potential harvest units.
- Determine harvest boundaries in accordance with the Quinault Indian Reservation’s Forest Management Plan.
- Supervise 1-2 forestry technicians or direct contractors in unit preparation.
- Identify operational requirements for harvesting, including recommended yarding systems, road developments, and stream crossings.
- Design and implement timber cruises.
- Perform stumpage appraisals.
