What you'll do

  • Perform reconnaissance on mature timber stands and identify potential harvest units.
  • Determine harvest boundaries in accordance with the Quinault Indian Reservation’s Forest Management Plan.
  • Supervise 1-2 forestry technicians or direct contractors in unit preparation.
  • Identify operational requirements for harvesting, including recommended yarding systems, road developments, and stream crossings.
  • Design and implement timber cruises.
  • Perform stumpage appraisals.
