The role

The PoWER Lead Nurse will support the Kentucky Rural Health Transformation Program by serving as a key member of the PoWER Program Team and ensuring consistent implementation of maternal and infant health care services.

  • Serve as primary liaison between pilot site PoWER nurses and the PoWER Program Team
  • Participate in program design and ongoing refinement
  • Coordinate with the Medical Director, Lead Doula, Lead CHW, and Peer Support Specialist
  • Conduct quarterly site visits to gather feedback and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support development of education materials and shared learning opportunities
  • Engage with relevant community partners

  • Active Kentucky Registered Nurse license
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum five years of nursing experience, including maternal, perinatal, postpartum, newborn, women's health, or related settings
  • Minimum two years of nursing leadership, charge nurse, program coordination, or clinical supervision experience
  • Certification in perinatal nurse leadership
