The role
The Hub Project, a nonprofit effort made up of communications, research, and organizing experts, is seeking an intern to support its Polling and Analytics campaign.
What you'll do
- Creating and editing draft presentations or memos, newsletters, and press releases using polling data
- Providing support and conducting background research to help inform questionnaire design
- Reading and understanding topline and crosstab data, and learning basic data analysis skills
- Drafting social media content for different platforms, using data from recent surveys
- Attending meetings with partner organizations to help inform future research
- Monitoring public polling for key trends and communicating relevant data to internal campaign teams
What it takes
- Demonstrated interest in progressive causes
- Proficient in Google slides and sheets or PowerPoint
- Skilled writer with the ability to modify messages and tone
- Effective multi-tasker
- Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and analytical
- Bonus: Taken coursework in statistics; experience with a statistical package such as STATA, R, or SPSS; experience working on progressive issue campaigns
