The role

The United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs is seeking a Political Affairs Intern to provide substantive and organizational support to the Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for Disarmament Affairs, and the Director and Deputy to the High Representative.

What you'll do

  • Contribute to the preparation of background documents, talking points, speeches, summaries, and memoranda.
  • Provide organizational support to and attend meetings/conferences/events, and prepare meeting reports.
  • Support development of communication products and policies for the High Representative and ODA Director, including social media and web posts.
  • Support official missions of the High Representative and ODA Director, including contributing to itineraries, meeting planning, preparation of briefings and talking points for meetings and events.

  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required
