The role
The Policy Analyst, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) will collaborate with IISD’s team of experts to deliver IISD's work program in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Viet Nam, supporting each country’s GESI-responsive just transition toward clean energy sources.
What you'll do
- Conduct and support qualitative and quantitative research on the social, economic, and distributional dimensions of just energy transition, carbon pricing, transport electrification, and related energy policy issues
- Support the preparation, organization, coordination, and documentation of capacity development and stakeholder engagement activities
- Support the design and development of GESI-responsive capacity development activities
- Contribute to the development and growth of new projects, including scoping opportunities and supporting concept formulation
What it takes
- A master’s degree in gender studies, social sciences, public policy, environment, development studies, or a relevant interdisciplinary program or field
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in Indonesia, the Philippines, and/or Viet Nam
- Demonstrated experience contributing to or independently delivering research, analysis, capacity development, training, or learning activities
- Experience developing training or learning materials, modules, presentations, or other capacity development products
- Experience working with teams to deliver research or program activities
- Experience building relationships with government, civil society, or community groups
