The role

The Platform Development and Analytics Consultant will enhance system efficiency and optimize the UNEP GEF Project Implementation Report platform, migrate the CITES MIKE application, and develop a Household Waste Categorization web application for Lesotho using AI.

  • Migrate current MIKE content to the new system

  • Design and develop the Household Waste Categorization web application for Lesotho using AI

What it takes

  • Advanced university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years of progressively responsible professional experience in computer science, information technology, information systems, or a related field
  • Experience in Drupal CMS development, API integration with Drupal CMS, application development using MS SQL and relational databases
  • Web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3, React and Python development
  • System analysis, design, and computer programming, including advanced programming skills in PHP, MVC frameworks, and Docker Hub
  • Work experience in the United Nations or similar international organizations is desirable
