The role

Join the American Red Cross to assist with blood collection processes, providing a welcoming environment for donors and ensuring the safe collection of lifesaving donations.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors
• Follow safety procedures while collecting blood donations
• Drive Red Cross vehicles and setup equipment at donation sites
• Take the time to connect with donors and understand the impact of their donation
• Be detail-oriented to ensure the safe transfusion of collected blood
• Work a variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays

What it takes

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Customer service experience and effective communication
• Current, valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Basic computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office applications
• Physical requirements: ability to lift, push, or pull heavy weights, sit or stand for long periods
• Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience preferred
