Phlebotomist

The role

Join the American Red Cross to assist with blood collection processes, including transporting and setting up equipment, creating a welcoming environment for donors, and following safety procedures. This role offers paid training and a competitive compensation package.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors
• Follow all safety procedures while collecting blood donations
• Transport and setup equipment at collection sites
• Listen to donors' stories and help them understand the impact of their donation
• May drive Red Cross vehicles
• Work a variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays

What it takes

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills
• Current, valid driver's license with a good driving record
• DOT certification
• Basic computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office applications
• Physical requirements: ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights, good manual dexterity, sit or stand for long periods
