What you'll do
- Provide mentorship and support to clients using personal lived experience to build skills in goal setting and problem solving.
- Facilitate counseling and activities for clients in recovery from substance use disorders in individual or group settings.
- Coordinate and navigate critical integrated services including healthcare, housing assistance, and behavioral health.
- Transport and escort clients to scheduled appointments using a CCH vehicle or approved personal vehicle.
- Perform ongoing client outreach within the community to monitor needs that are recovery-oriented.
- Maintain accurate records of clinical/non-clinical services in EHR systems.
What it takes
- Lived experience with substance use disorders, homelessness support services, and/or mental health challenges.
- Completion of accredited Peer Specialist training program highly preferred.
- CPR/First Aid Certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Valid Colorado driver's license required.
- Bilingual English-Spanish or ASL preferred.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality protocols and privacy laws.
