Payroll Specialist

The role

Processes and records the Agency’s payroll timely and accurately, including responding to payroll inquiries, providing procedural instructions, and entering and processing employee time, payroll adjustments, garnishments, and pay cards.

What you'll do

• Responds to inquiries from Agency personnel regarding payroll matters
• Provides procedural instruction regarding payroll and timekeeping
• Enters and processes employee time, payroll adjustments, garnishments and pay cards
• Processes payroll transactions accurately and timely
• Maintains Agency payroll information in HRIS database
• Prepares reporting for employees, managers, vendors and tax agencies when necessary

What it takes

• Ability to maintain confidentiality relative to payroll
• Payroll experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word
• Experience with UKG or similar Payroll Systems
• Understanding of Goodwill NNE policies
