The role
The Partnerships Officer will assist with the provision of substantive support for strategic planning and coordination of UNCT strategic partnerships, including national institutions, civil society, private sector, and other SDG achievement.
What you'll do
- Assists with the provision of substantive support for strategic planning and coordination of UNCT strategic partnerships
- Leads the formulation and provides advice on the development and implementation of the UN Partnership Strategy in alignment with SDG achievement
- Supports a UNCT working group or similar platform for effective implementation, monitoring, and assessment of the strategy at regular intervals
- Conducts liaison and coordination with UN entities to help package and define a value proposition for local UN partnerships
What it takes
- Advanced university degree in business or public administration, sustainable development, social sciences, education or related area is required
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience and track record in strategic support to partnerships, project/programme management, resource mobilization in the context of development cooperation or related area is required
- Experience of developing strategic partnerships across government, private sector, IFIs, academia, and civil society organizations is required
- Proven track record of successfully formulating and supporting joint programming and mobilizing innovative partnerships and financing in middle/high income countries is required
