The role
The Paralegal will provide litigation support for Public Counsel’s impact litigation team, including conducting interviews, drafting legal documents, and assisting with trial preparation.
What you'll do
- Conduct trauma-informed interviews of individuals and draft declarations and complaint narratives
- Conduct community and plaintiff-class outreach
- Prepare and finalize legal documents for filing
- File legal documents in state and federal courts
- Assist with discovery, including document review and production
- Assist with trial, including preparing binders and exhibits
What it takes
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Paralegal certificate/degree or 1 year of experience in litigation support
- 5-10 years of litigation support/paralegal experience
- Experience with trial and discovery support
- Excellent communication and proofreading skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
