The role
Outward Bound Adventures is seeking an Outdoor & Environmental Education and Youth Leadership Program Coordinator for the Sierra Nevada AmeriCorps Partnership Program in Pasadena, California.
What you'll do
- Coordinate and prepare year-round OBA trips, courses, school-based activities, screening hikes, day hikes, and youth preparation
- Assist with trip schedules, itineraries, logistics, participant information, equipment, materials, transportation, and communications
- Facilitate OBA trips and outdoor learning experiences with youth
- Support youth engagement, group management, leadership development, watershed and environmental education, stewardship, and culturally responsive programming
- Assist with course coordination, including program-wide coordination and South Los Angeles area programming
- Support post-trip documentation, reflection, and follow-up

- Ability to hike several miles carrying equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- Ability to serve long days in variable weather conditions
