The role
The American Red Cross is seeking a Part-Time Order Processing Donor Specialist responsible for receiving, processing, packing and shipping blood products/samples.
What you'll do
- Receive, process, pack and ship blood products/samples for hospital orders
- Triage the order based on date and time needed
- Select and carefully pack life-saving blood products with correct temperature regulating product
- Communicate with hospital clients, volunteers, and vendors
- Maintain product records to preserve traceability
What it takes
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two years’ experience in a regulatory, distribution or manufacturing environment is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good computer skills, attention to detail, accurate documentation, and good decision-making skills
- Position may require a valid driver’s license
