The UN Resident Coordinator Office (UNRCO) in Rwanda is seeking an Online Volunteer to assist in developing, editing, and disseminating strategic communications content to enhance the visibility and public understanding of UN Rwanda’s work, results, and impact.
What you'll do
- Assist in drafting and editing short communications content, including social media posts, website stories and captions.
- Support the collection of information, quotes, photos and other materials from UN agencies and partners.
- Assist in identifying human-interest stories and other content highlighting the UN's work and results in Rwanda.
- Support the updating of content on the UN Rwanda website, as assigned.
- Assist in preparing simple media and communications materials, such as media briefs, event summaries and press materials.
- Support the preparation of content for UN Rwanda's social media platforms.

- Communications, journalism, media, public relations, social sciences or a related field is desirable.
- Experience in content creation and editing is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms and website management is required.
- Strong writing and editing skills are essential.
