The role
The American Conservation Experience is seeking Off-Highway Vehicle Restoration Technicians to contribute to various projects alongside Bureau of Land Management (B.L.M.) staff in Ridgecrest, California.
What you'll do
- Maintain close interaction with BLM Outdoor Recreation Planner and Natural Resource Staff to monitor sensitive species and their habitat and plan restoration projects within and adjacent to Off-Highway Vehicle recreation areas.
- Complete work throughout the Ridgecrest BLM managed lands to identify restoration project sites, monitor previous restoration efforts, and support recreation and natural resource management goals.
- Perform outreach and present educational talks to off-highway vehicle recreationists.
- Collect data on proposed restoration projects and monitor their effectiveness.
- Maintain a GIS database and organize outreach events and training for restoration crews.
- Create and present restoration project proposals with BLM staff.
