The role
The position involves supporting the implementation and strengthening of the safeguarding and Prevention of Exploitation and Abuse Sexual (PEAS) strategies in programs, projects, and operations of the Venezuelan Red Cross, promoting safe and inclusive environments and a survivor-centered approach.
What you'll do
- Support the implementation and updating of the safeguarding and PEAS strategy
- Provide technical support to branches in identifying risks, gaps, and needs in safeguarding and PEAS
- Support the identification and monitoring of safeguarding and PEAS risks in programs, projects, and operations
- Contribute to the integration of safeguarding and PEAS across program and operational cycles
- Plan and facilitate awareness, orientation, and capacity-building activities
- Support the mapping, updating, and dissemination of referral pathways to available services

- Bachelor's degree in social work, community development, psychology, gender studies, public health, human rights, international relations, or related fields
- Minimum 3 years of experience in preventing exploitation, abuse, and sexual harassment
- Experience in administrative investigations of exploitation, abuse, and sexual harassment
- Experience applying humanitarian protection/gender/accessibility standards in multiple contexts
- Experience in case management, including handling sensitive and confidential data
- Experience advocating for the interests of vulnerable people or at risk of exclusion
