The role
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking an Official Shelter Officer to lead and execute early recovery actions in the Shelter and Infrastructure sectors in Caracas, Venezuela, following a recent earthquake.
What you'll do
- Conduct rapid multisectoral and sectoral needs assessments for shelter and infrastructure recovery
- Supervise the distribution of non-food items (NFIs) related to shelter
- Prepare technical specifications for infrastructure rehabilitation works
- Represent the organization in humanitarian coordination mechanisms
- Document operational results, challenges, and lessons learned
- Perform field activities in compliance with safety, humanitarian access, and risk management procedures
What it takes
- Minimum 2 years of experience in humanitarian Shelter and/or Infrastructure programs
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
- Experience in construction or rehabilitation works
