The role
The Officer-Child Protection is responsible for supervising and supporting the implementation of prevention activities related to Child Protection and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) interventions, including community-based protection activities.
What you'll do
- Supervising and supporting implementation of prevention activities related to Child Protection and GBV interventions
- Managing and supervising Officer-Social Work, Community Mobilizers, Case Workers, Cleaners and Guards in respective locations
- Leading community engagement initiatives, women's and adolescent groups, awareness sessions on CP, GBV and protection issues
- Providing technical support and coordination with partner organizations
What it takes
- At least 3 years’ experience in a humanitarian/development program
- Knowledge on child rights and child protection issues
- Strong technical understanding of child protection and community-based approaches
