The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a qualified Obstetrician/Gynecologist to support maternal health care, sexual violence survivor care, and other reproductive health activities in Ndele, Central African Republic.
What you'll do
- Supporting the management of pregnant women during pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum periods
- Assisting with prenatal consultations (CPN) to ensure preventive and curative care for pregnant women
- Educating on health and nutrition during CPN sessions
- Helping in the implementation of birth plans with pregnant women at 7-8 months of pregnancy
- Supporting maternal and newborn care, including exclusive breastfeeding
What it takes
- Diploma as a Obstetrician/Gynecologist or equivalent
- At least 1 year experience in managing health activities according to national guidelines (PCIME, SONUB, PEV, reproductive health, community health)
- Experience working with local and international NGOs is an asset
