What you'll do
- Physically remove invasive plants to allow native plants to compete successfully and flourish
- Mix and apply herbicide according to the label
- Haul and load plant refuse and clean up the job site
- Follow instructions given by production coordinator or crew leader
- Maintain high standard of quality
- Participate in all necessary training regarding equipment, safety, plant identification, and work procedures
What it takes
- Possess a valid Illinois or Wisconsin Applicator pesticide license
- Ability to use mowers, line trimmers, hedge trimmers, pruners and handsaws
- Demonstrate an acceptable level of basic plant recognition and horticultural knowledge
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (50 lbs.)
- Ability to work outside in various conditions
- Some natural areas restoration experience
