The role

The National Human Rights Intern will assist with internal and external communications activities, support the development of communication tools, conduct research on human rights issues, and provide meeting and event support.

What you'll do

  • Assist with internal and external communications activities
  • Support the development of communication tools, social media content, and advocacy materials
  • Conduct research on human rights issues relevant to the Pacific region
  • Attend meetings and events on behalf of the Regional Office where appropriate
  • Support logistical and administrative arrangements for office activities

What it takes

  • Be enrolled in a Master's degree programme or equivalent graduate-level programme; or be enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor's degree programme; or have recently graduated with a Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent university degree
  • Preferred fields of study include: Law, Human Rights, Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, Development Studies, and other related disciplines
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of Fijian (iTaukei) and/or Fiji Hindi is desirable
