The role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a National Coordinator to support the development and coordination of a new advocacy coalition for Early Childhood Development (ECD) in crisis in Syria. The role involves establishing the coalition, strategic resource mobilization, and policy integration.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate and support the coalition members towards shared advocacy goals
  • Support the coalition to build an investment case for ECD-in-crisis
  • Lead coalition advocacy efforts to integrate ECD into national emergency preparedness frameworks
  • Develop and implement the coalition's multi-year Advocacy Strategy and Workplan
  • Recruit and onboard core members, including RLOs/LLOs, and set up the Steering Committee and Subcommittees
  • Facilitate and support regular coalition and sub-committee meetings
