The role

The National Consultant for OPD coordination to CRPD implementation will support consultations and stakeholder meetings, deliver training on disability inclusive systems, develop shadow reports, design a budget tracker, document processes, and facilitate disaster management inclusion.

What you'll do

  • Support consultations and stakeholder meetings
  • Deliver training on CRPD Article 33 monitoring and reporting
  • Develop, finalise, and publish Fiji’s first CRPD shadow report
  • Design a CRPD-compliant budget tracker
  • Document processes, outcomes, achievements, and lessons learned
  • Facilitate disaster management inclusion

What it takes

  • Advanced university degree in human rights, social sciences, development, disability studies, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience with an advanced degree or 5 years with a first-level degree
  • Experience working with OPDs and government stakeholders in Fiji and/or the Pacific region
  • Capacity building, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement experience
  • Monitoring and evaluation, reporting, and knowledge management
  • Fluency in English; working knowledge of Fijian or any indigenous languages from the Pacific
