The role

This consultancy will provide hands-on, operational M&E and data management support to the WHO M&E team, contributing to routine monitoring activities, data product development, and analytical workstreams.

Data wrangling, quality checks, metadata documentation, and reproducible workflows
Statistical analysis and simple modelling
Data quality checks and documentation of data sources and assumptions
Contribution to analytical summaries, reports, and documentation for M&E activities
Development of clear, decision-friendly visualization products
Contribution to methods briefs, analysis notes, and reproducible code repositories

What it takes

Advanced degree (master’s or higher) in Biostatistics, Health Statistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, or a closely related quantitative health field
Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in health data analysis, statistical modelling, or epidemiological analytics
Proficiency in R or Python or other similar software, plus experience with SQL and data visualization tools
Strong analytical and statistical skills
Ability to communicate complex results to non-technical audiences
Proficiency in reproducible research workflows and data documentation
