The role
The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) officer will support the design, implementation, and continuous strengthening of the project's MEL system to ensure high-quality data collection, analysis, reporting, and utilization for evidence-based decision-making.
What you'll do
- Lead the implementation of the project's Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) framework in accordance with RBM principles.
- Develop annual MEL plans, monitoring schedules, indicator tracking tools, and reporting templates.
- Strengthen routine data collection, validation, compilation, and management systems across intervention wards.
- Analyze epidemiological, programme, laboratory, surveillance, and vector control data to generate actionable insights.
- Prepare high-quality monthly, quarterly, annual, and donor reports.
What it takes
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Informatics, Statistics, Demography, Monitoring and Evaluation, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of progressively responsible experience in monitoring and evaluation of public health programmes.
- Experience working with government health systems, donor-funded programmes, or international development organizations.
- Demonstrated experience in developing MEL frameworks, indicator tracking systems, digital dashboards, and data visualization.
