The role

The United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Specialist to lead the MEL agenda for a 10M USD portfolio in Ghana. The incumbent will design and implement quantitative and qualitative research, oversee evaluation exercises, and ensure results-based management across projects focused on youth empowerment, SME finance, and climate finance. This role involves building capacity among partners, synthesizing lessons learned, and ensuring compliance with corporate MEL and reporting requirements.

What you'll do

  • Lead the country-level Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning agenda.
  • Design and implement quantitative and qualitative research to capture impact.
  • Supervise evaluation exercises and provide oversight to implementing partners.
  • Ensure timely reporting of results to inform corporate M&E exercises.
  • Organize training and capacity-building workshops for internal and external stakeholders.

What it takes

  • Advanced university degree (Master's) in Economics, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in MEL or result measurement in an international organization.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing research in inclusive development.
  • Strong knowledge of financial inclusion, development finance, or SME finance.
  • Fluency in English is required.
