The role

The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Coordinator will provide technical support to World Vision Lanka by developing comprehensive systems to track program impact and ensure accountability. The role involves designing methodologies for reliable data collection, performing regular analysis, and conducting field visits to monitor project implementation. The coordinator will also lead baseline and evaluation studies while facilitating community reviews and documenting cross-learning initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Formulate and roll out project M&E plans in alignment with technical objectives.
  • Maintain and track project indicators in a centralized database.
  • Conduct regular field visits to support results-based project monitoring.
  • Prepare analytical donor reports and visual presentations of data trends.
  • Manage baseline and evaluation study processes including data collection and analysis.
  • Establish and support accountability mechanisms at the primary focus area level.

What it takes

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in MEAL and community development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Management, or International Development.
  • Proven experience in report writing and donor-funded projects.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office, SPSS, Epi info, and NVivo.
  • Strong analytical skills and written/oral communication in English and Sinhala.
