The role
The Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist will support UN-wide monitoring, evaluation, learning, data analysis and reporting under the UNSFA and humanitarian-basic human needs coordination architecture in Afghanistan. - Coordinate and support inter-agency monitoring, evaluation, learning and reporting efforts
- Maintain and strengthen a comprehensive, risk-informed and conflict-sensitive system for monitoring and reporting
- Serve as the UN RCO focal point for M&E within the Programme Management Team
- Support the PMT in developing and updating UNSFA Joint Work Plans
- Coordinate agency-specific monitoring and reporting capacities
- Liaise closely with UN agency M&E, data and reporting focal points

- An advanced university degree in monitoring and evaluation, statistics, economics, social sciences, public policy, development studies, data science or another relevant field
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional experience in programme monitoring and evaluation
