The role
The MHPSS Officer will provide and ensure the provision of mental health and psychosocial support services to vulnerable children, their families, and communities in Aden Head Office.
What you'll do
- Support the technical planning and rollout of MHPSS models in line with SCI’s quality benchmarks
- Contribute to the development and implementation of DIPs aligned with project timelines, budgets, and indicators
- Provide tailored psychosocial counselling sessions to children and caregivers as per identified needs and internal referral protocols
- Support the Development and implementation of capacity-building plans aligned with assessed needs and global best practices
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Psychiatry, Mental Health, Psychosocial Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-4 years of professional experience, including at least 1 year in psychosocial support programming in humanitarian settings
- Proven experience working directly with children and/or adolescents, especially in child protection and MHPSS
- Strong experience in training, coaching, and capacity building of staff and Facilitators
