Mental Health Therapist

The role

Amae Health is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to provide high-acuity, integrated care for patients with severe mental illness (SMI) in Los Altos, California. The role involves providing individual and group therapy, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team, and contributing to the development of new clinical outcomes frameworks. Candidates must have an active license in California and experience with evidence-based interventions like CBT, DBT, or MI.

What you'll do

• Provide individual and group therapy to a panel of complex SMI patients
• Provide continuous, regular support as patients navigate recovery
• Deliver evidence-based care in a holistic, wrap-around care model
• Collaborate with patient care teams and behavioral health providers
• Address medical needs to mitigate social determinants of health
• Provide consultation to therapists on the treatment team

What it takes

• Active Licensed Psychologist, LMSW, AMFT, or LPC license in CA
• Experience and interest in working with adults
• At least 1 year of experience working with patients with severe mental illness
• Experience in evidence-based interventions (CBT, DBT, or MI)
• Technologically savvy
• Strong listening skills and excellent verbal communication
