The role

The Membership Coordinator will play an important role in advancing Global Arts Live's fundraising and donor engagement efforts during a period of significant organizational growth. Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager and working closely with colleagues across the advancement, marketing, and audience services teams, the Membership Coordinator will help strengthen relationships with members and donors while supporting annual giving, special events, and campaign initiatives for both Global Arts Live and The Platform.

What you'll do

  • Support annual giving goals for Global Arts Live and The Platform through donor engagement, membership renewals, appeals, and stewardship initiatives.
  • Coordinate the implementation of the organization's membership program, ensuring the timely delivery of benefits, stewardship activities, and donor communications.
  • Coordinate and implement membership communications and fundraising appeals across multiple channels, including direct mail, email, web, and phone communications.
  • Assist with membership acquisition, retention, and upgrade strategies in partnership with advancement leadership and in coordination with goals for the Elevate The Platform campaign.
  • Coordinate and implement membership events, managing logistics, invitations, registrations, communications, and the overall member experience.
  • Support the planning and execution of the annual Gala, including registration management, silent auction coordination, donor communications, and event logistics.

What it takes

  • 1-2 years of relevant professional experience in a nonprofit development, advancement, membership, or fundraising office, with familiarity with fundraising operations, donor stewardship, and event support.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Comfort working with spreadsheets, databases, CRM systems, and other technology platforms used to support fundraising and donor engagement.
  • Resourceful, proactive, and eager to contribute to a growing organization, with strong problem-solving skills, the initiative to independently research solutions, and the judgment to seek guidance when appropriate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding donor and member service.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment.
