The role
The Medical Assistant – Phlebotomy provides support to patients and co-workers by performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks in different areas of the health center.
What you'll do
- Performing back-office responsibilities as required by the health center
- Room patients, stock rooms, phlebotomy, injections, labs, patient education
- Assisting NP’s, RN’s, and MD’s
- Optimizing patient flow to keep appointments on schedule
- Preparing documents for patient records and services
What it takes
- High school diploma or equivalent
- National Medical Assistant Phlebotomy Certification
- 1-2 years in a healthcare setting (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications
- Experience with electronic health records (preferred)
