The role
The MEAL Officer will be responsible for the effective implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) system for the DRC's Food Systems and Economic Self-Reliance project, ensuring systematic monitoring, quality data collection, analysis, reporting, accountability and learning to generate credible evidence for decision-making, adaptive management and donor reporting.

- Monitor and verify activities and results reported by the project and implementing partners
- Conduct field monitoring, spot checks, assessments and outcome monitoring
- Maintain project indicator tracking systems and monitor progress against targets
- Support partners and project teams to use MEAL data for decision-making
What it takes
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Monitoring and Evaluation, Data Science or related field
- Demonstrated experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis and reporting
- Experience using digital data collection platforms, particularly KoboToolbox/ODK
- Experience in data cleaning, validation, quality assurance and database management
- Strong analytical, communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to work independently in remote/field-based settings and undertake frequent travel
