The role
The Manager Social Change and Behavior Change (SCBC), Social Cohesion and Youth Engagement is responsible for developing an integrated social change and behavior change (SCBC) strategy to support the adoption of priority behaviors across the project's various components. The role involves strategic transformation of local organizations and platforms, community mobilization, capacity building, and engagement of youth and communities.
What you'll do
- Plan and coordinate activities related to local system governance, social cohesion, community resilience, youth and community engagement.
- Work with communities to create appropriate local responses to their needs in education, protection, and nutrition.
- Implement community capacity building strategies, such as the Community Action Cycle (CAC), to enhance community self-management.
- Support the development of local measures promoting social inclusion and cohesion between ethnic and community groups.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of capacity building plans for state and community partners.
- Supervise the quality of tasks and actions carried out by SBC, social cohesion, and community engagement officers.
What it takes
- Diploma in education, public health, communication, social studies, community development, or a related field.
- Professional experience with NGOs, preferably in community mobilization, social change and behavior change, and organizational development.
- Experience with participatory social change and behavior change (SCBC) strategies, including the implementation of an integrated SCBC strategy.
