The role

The Logistics and Procurement ERT Officer serves as a core member of the Emergency Response Team, deploying to disaster-affected areas to lead on-the-ground procurement, logistics, warehousing, and asset management operations in support of life-saving humanitarian response.

What you'll do

  • Deploy rapidly to domestic and international emergency response settings
  • Lead on-the-ground procurement of goods, services, and relief commodities
  • Set up and manage temporary warehousing, storage solutions, and distribution hubs
  • Identify, vet, and source local and regional vendors
  • Coordinate with the Global Procurement Department to onboard newly sourced vendors
  • Transport or arrange the transport of relief items

What it takes

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Procurement, Humanitarian Affairs, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management
  • Experience managing on-the-ground procurement, warehousing, and distribution operations
  • Experience identifying and onboarding vendors and coordinating with centralized procurement and logistics functions
  • Experience using Relief Compass or comparable logistics and inventory management platforms
  • Familiarity with humanitarian standards, donor compliance requirements, and disaster response procedures
