The role
The Local Manager will work closely with programme, operations, and project teams to support the implementation of UN-Habitat's initiatives in Rio de Janeiro. This role involves engaging with communities, administering questionnaires, and organizing events to promote social participation and improve access to resources. What you'll do
- Contribute to the active identification and outreach of families who will participate in the Programme’s integrated protocol, as well as to the monitoring of their participation
- Monitor the administration of questionnaires
- Contribute to the organization and implementation of events within the communities
- Prepare progress reports on research and activities conducted in the territories
- Administer socioeconomic questionnaires to selected families
- Contribute to defining and implementing appropriate strategies to ensure comprehensive coverage of the territory
What it takes
- High School Diploma or additional two (2) years of relevant technical experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in themes related to community mobilization
- Fluency in Portuguese
- Proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Previous experience working in the United Nations is desirable
- Professionalism, planning and organization, communication, teamwork, and knowledge management competencies
