The role
IDB Invest is seeking an experienced finance professional to join the Treasury Division and contribute to the execution of local currency and interest rate derivatives, credit lines, and bond transactions.
What you'll do
- Recommend optimal funding structures based on local market conditions
- Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Risk, and Investment Operations teams
- Analyze, price, negotiate, and execute debt capital markets and derivatives transactions
- Monitor regional capital-markets developments and prepare assessments
- Evaluate counterparty credit risk and obtain necessary approvals
- Collaborate on the development and deployment of quantitative models and analytical tools
What it takes
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, Engineering, or related fields
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in local currency risk management
- Strong technical expertise in fixed-income instruments and capital management processes
- Proven track record as a trusted advisor and leader
- Proficiency in English and one of the Bank's official languages (Spanish, French, or Portuguese)
- Strong project management and communication skills
