The role
The Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific is seeking a local consultant to assess Enabling Framework Conditions (EFC) in Shimla, India.
What you'll do
- Conduct desk research on existing initiatives and frameworks to extract lessons learned and best practices
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement through meetings and workshops with city and state government officials and key stakeholders
- Support research and validation processes, collection of primary data, establishing metrics for success
- Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Draft the Enabling Framework Conditions Report for Shimla
What it takes
- Masters or a Post Graduate degree in sustainable development, public policy, social science, urban planning, economics or related discipline
- At least 10 years’ experience in sustainable development/Climate Finance related research and technical assistance
- Experience working with governments in the North Indian region on sustainability, Climate risk, infrastructure and Climate finance
- Knowledge of India’s climate plans and policies, state action plan of Himachal Pradesh, including on data and research
