The role
World Vision Uganda is seeking a Livestock Officer to implement the Uganda Climate Smart Agricultural Transformation Project in refugee settlements and host communities in northern Uganda.
What you'll do
- Lead the implementation of climate-smart livestock production interventions within project target areas
- Support beneficiary households in improving livestock management practices
- Promote improved livestock breeds and climate-resilient livestock technologies
- Facilitate livestock-based livelihood activities aimed at increasing household income and food security
What it takes
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from a recognized institution
- Minimum of five (5) years of practical experience in Climate Smart Agriculture programming
- Proven experience working in a refugee settlement and host community context
- Experience providing livestock extension services and farmer capacity-building programs
