The role
Goodness and Mercy Missions (GMM) is seeking volunteers to conduct research on market access, financial inclusion, appropriate technology, and economic participation of women and young people in the Boyo Division of Cameroon.
What you'll do
- Review international research and practice on how small-scale producers and micro-enterprises connect to end markets
- Assess which models have proved viable in low-resource and crisis-affected settings
- Identify the conditions under which each model succeeds or fails
- Set out the implications for GMM's programming
What it takes
- Bachelor's degree completed or currently in progress in a field relevant to the assigned research area
- Academic or professional experience relevant to the assigned area
- Demonstrated ability to conduct structured desk research using academic databases, publications of United Nations agencies and other international organizations, government and non-governmental reports, and statistical sources
- Strong written communication skills in English
- Correct and consistent use of an academic referencing system
- Proficiency in virtual collaboration tools and reliable internet access
