The role
Hope Services is seeking Job Coaches for their Project SEARCH program to support clients with developmental disabilities and mental health needs in community settings.
What you'll do
- Represent HOPE in the day-to-day Project Search activities at worksite
- Write a program plan with each intern
- Under PS Instructor direction, work with adult interns and school Instructors, school district Job Coaches and host management and staff
- Provide regular, specific and frequent feedback to the interns
- Provide individualized support for all interns on their rotation assignments
- Perform sophisticated task analyses, job analyses and job matching
What it takes
- High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent plus one year of related experience
- Clear driving record and a valid Driver's License
- Professional level English skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to communicate with and train persons with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of and experience with travel training
- Knowledge of advocacy, ADA, DOL and employment related issues for the disabled
