The role
Per Scholas is seeking an IT Support (Healthcare IT Specialist) instructor to join their Training Team. The role involves daily instruction, assessment administration, and maintaining training curricula.
What you'll do
- Support instructor-led training that prepares students for entry-level to mid-level careers in IT Support or optionally Healthcare in IT
- Provide students with access to relevant resources for outside learning on technologies and study aids appropriate to the curriculum
- Work closely with the team to identify student needs, provide support, establish individualized plans for student achievement, and participate in regular student-status meetings
- Maintain and update Salesforce and/or our LMS with student grades, certification scores, and progress notes
- Support and maintain the training curricula, syllabi, lesson plans, and other classroom materials
What it takes
- 1-3 years of teaching or training experience
- Advanced knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux Operating Systems; this includes both end-user and server versions
- Experience with Virtualization Technologies Type 1 and 2 Hypervisors ( VMware ESXI, VirtualBox, Hyper-V)
- Experience with Windows server, AD, DHCP, DNS, NPS, Group Policy, user-profile management, WDS
- Proficiency with File systems and Disk management, performance monitoring, and security
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical/industry experience
