The role
Okanagan College is seeking an Invigilator to provide invigilation services for exams to students in a private or group setting, under the supervision of the Program Administrator and External Exam and Program Assistant.
What you'll do
- Maintains strict adherence to policies and procedures governing examinations
- Sets up examination venues by ensuring the technology is operational
- Lays out equipment and examination materials are available
- Assists students prior to the start of examinations
- Checks attendance and ensures that students do not talk once inside the examination venue
- Responds to queries raised by students or refers students to an instructor, as appropriate
What it takes
- 1 year post-secondary education preferred
- 1-2 years related experience preferred
- Understanding and commitment to maintaining appropriate standards of confidentiality and security of materials
- Ability to work independently to deliver exams as per required guidelines and instructions
- Effective communication skills, specifically, ability to read aloud clearly, with good pronunciation
- Clear and accurate hand writing; technical competency to troubleshoot basic computer issues is preferred
