The role

The Investigator will be responsible for conducting investigations of alleged misconduct, malfeasance, mismanagement, fraud, corruption, and other violations of United Nations Regulations and Rules.

What you'll do

  • Plan, organize and conduct investigations of alleged misconduct, malfeasance, mismanagement, fraud, corruption, and other violations of United Nations Regulations and Rules
  • Establish facts, determine findings and formulate recommendations for corrective measures and related disciplinary and jurisdictional actions
  • Draft reports and communications and assist with the review of those drafted by others
  • Perform legal research and analysis of evidentiary material gathered for OIOS reports
  • Maintain and update OIOS' guidance material based on applicable best practices and legal developments
  • Review policy decisions, monitor their implementation and analyse their legal implications

What it takes

  • Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in law or a related field
  • A minimum of five years of full-time progressively responsible experience in investigatory work
  • Experience in gathering evidence and its analysis and presentation
  • Experience with international investigation activities
  • Experience with an international or multilateral public institution is desirable
  • Two years or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable
