The role

The Independent Institution on Missing Persons in the Syrian Arab Republic (IIMP) is seeking two investigators to manage, conduct, and analyze complex investigations regarding missing persons. The role involves interviewing victims and witnesses, preserving evidence, and ensuring the protection of participants under the 'do no harm' principle. Investigators will also produce detailed reports and analyze data to identify patterns related to breaches of international law. What you'll do

  • Advanced university degree (Master's) in international law or criminal investigation.
  • Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in investigatory work.
  • Proven experience investigating international human rights or humanitarian law violations.
  • Required fluency in both English and Arabic (UN Level III).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and analyze data using e-discovery software.
