The role

The World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) is offering a 6-month internship for a Master's student interested in international affairs, public policy, and global health. The intern will assist the Office of the Director of Cabinet under the supervision of the Advocacy Officer, gaining experience in animal health diplomacy and advocacy.

What you'll do

  • Assist in preparing briefings, talking points, and background notes for meetings of the Director General or senior leadership
  • Contribute to drafting speeches, PowerPoint presentations, external messages, and concept notes, letters
  • Support preparation of international events and institutional meetings, or specific advocacy initiatives
  • Help prepare and follow up on key meetings (COMEX, Council, Strategic Committees)
  • Support cross-departmental coordination on initiatives led by the Office of the DG and the cabinet
  • Conduct background research on emerging policy issues (One Health, global health governance, climate, etc.)

What it takes

  • Enrolled in a Master's programme in international relations, public policy, global health, communication, political science, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to analyze complex information and synthesize clearly
  • Strong sense of discretion and professionalism
