The role
The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) is seeking a non-staff International PAHO Consultant for a part-time position to support the regional tuberculosis team in analyzing TB information and implementing mortality studies related to TB and HIV.
What you'll do
- Support preparation, analysis, and dissemination of strategic TB-related information in the region
- Follow up on countries' reported data to WHO's global reporting system and OMS estimates
- Provide technical support for strengthening TB information systems
- Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of mortality studies related to TB and HIV
- Support monitoring and preparation of materials on regional progress in key TB interventions
What it takes
- At least 7 years of combined national and international experience in TB field
- Postgraduate degree in epidemiology
- Demonstrated knowledge in epidemiological analysis of infectious diseases and TB
- Experience with project management, technical support, monitoring and evaluation
- Technical expertise in tuberculosis prevention and control within the End TB Strategy and WHO initiatives
- Experience managing infectious diseases in correctional settings
