The role

The International LPIS Advisor will provide expert technical advisory and support to the Project Manager and key stakeholders, including the Agricultural and Rural Development Agency (ARDA), for the successful development and implementation of a fully functional Land Parcel Identification System (LPIS) in Albania.

What you'll do

  • Provide technical advisory and support to the Project Manager and key stakeholders
  • Work closely with ARDA and other stakeholders to refine LPIS objectives
  • Analyze existing LPIS models and assess institutional and technical capacities
  • Lead the design and implementation of LPIS pilot(s) in selected areas
  • Support the development of Terms of reference, technical specifications, and operational requirements
  • Map existing data sources and assess integration needs

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Agricultural Engineering, rural planning, GIS, Geography or related fields with 9 years of relevant experience
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in any of the above or related fields with 7 years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience in Land management systems related areas
  • Familiarity with EU agricultural regulations, IACS, and LPIS
  • Experience in EU integration processes
  • Experience in working with national authorities, government agencies, and international donors in EU accession countries
