The role

The International Trade Centre (ITC) is seeking a consultant to modernize, maintain, and ensure the operational reliability of ITC’s Trade Map trade data processing environment.

What you'll do

  • Gather and document technical and operational requirements from Trade Map team members to develop a comprehensive understanding of existing data processing workflows, business rules, and system dependencies
  • Collect, format, transform, and validate large trade datasets received from multiple official sources
  • Develop, adapt, and maintain data processing programs using SAS, Python, SQL, or similar technologies for the integration of international trade statistics into the Trade Map database
  • Apply data quality control procedures to ensure data reliability and integrity

What it takes

  • Masters or equivalent in Statistics, data analysis, econometrics, or economy
  • 2 years of experience in Extract, transform, load (ETL) processing
  • Proven ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • SAS programming is desirable
  • Experience in international trade in services statistics is desirable
  • Experience in customs trade statistics is desirable
